Aspens Leafing - Spring Has Arrived

Last night it had rained...
so, this morning...
just after sunrise...
as I took out Bandi for her morning bathroom usage...
I noticed that the Aspen trees on my property had really started to leaf out.

I went back into the house and retrieved my iPhone to take some photos
of the Aspens in the morning light.

There are two types of trees on this mountain...
Pines...and Aspens.

It is the Aspens which turn a bright yellow in fall.
(I hope to soon plant a Japanese Maple...
and later...many Japanese Maples on my property...
depending on how well my test tree grows here).

I took Bandi on a walk around my property to take more photos of the leafing Aspens.

This large flat top rock is perfectly positioned to sit upon and enjoy beautiful views.

The Aspens grow in groves.

The light green Aspen trees can be seen on the distant mountains.

Various wild flowers are starting to bloom.

I plan to plant a variety of wild flowers on the property later on.

-------------

I have much to do this summer.

However...
I will be taking periodic breaks to take Bandi out to some parks
around Colorado.

I am also going to try to make different dishes...
as I love to eat.

Maybe next spring...
I will buy a BBQ/Smoker to make delicious meats...
and some deck furniture.

  1. I have 3 Ginko Bilobas and 4 Japanese maples. I have named each of them. They are part of my outdoor sanctuary and keep me company while I meditate. The trees you share your property with are such a beautiful gift of nature. I enjoy your pictures very much!

  2. Hopefully, the maples will grow here. I plan to start the planting in Autumn.

  4. It has only just begun. Many more wild flowers are beginning to emerge, and the Aspens are filling with many more leaves.
