First Real Snow Of Winter

Song:  Time (cover)

While it had snowed earlier in the year...
it was only a light dusting of snow with tiny snowflakes falling from the sky.

The other day...
although it wasn't a heavy snowfall...
it had much larger snowflakes...
and it had built up to an appreciable amount...
marking it as the first real snowfall of Winter.

A couple of days ago...
I had awakened to the beginning of a moderate snowfall.

You can see the larger snowflakes falling
(or more accurately...clumps of snowflakes).

Later that evening...
I took Bandi out to her forest area.

The snow stopped falling before it had gotten dark.

I had awakened to a blue sky this morning.

Bandi was eager to get out into the snow.

As usual...
we will have a day or two of snow...
followed by many days of blue skies.

It creates a beautiful winter wonderland that I find to be so peaceful and serene.

--------------

The rest of today...
I will make a large lunch
(I am forcing myself to eat...
as I have lost most of my appetite)...
and then just stay in bed.

My healing is coming along...
albeit...
very slowly.

All of today...
I will just stay under the covers
until I have a long late evening session in the steam sauna...
a hot shower...
and then binge watch more of Game of Thrones...
until I fall asleep.

  1. What prevents you from going in for a consultation and examination of your lungs? You do not have to accept their injections , but you should know the condition of your chest and overall immune system function. Your tree is beautiful

  2. I know from experience what limitations there are to diagnosing and treating upper and lower respiratory illnesses. Any viral infections must be treated by antivirals within a few days of the onset of illness, and any bacterial infections will cause fevers. I may have a slight secondary bacterial infection which I am keeping in check through my at home treatment of it, and so, why it is taking so long. If it worsens or lasts longer than a couple more weeks, I will then have just cause for the doctor to investigate further. They simply won't do so until it has gone on for a couple of months. I will then have cause to insist they rule out walking pneumonia or a bacterial bronchitis, for which I can get antibiotics. They simply won't give antibiotics if the symptoms aren't severe, or if it hasn't been a long term affair (two months).

  3. And...yes, you may have a fever for both, viral and bacterial infections, viral fevers are generally much milder if at all, and bacterial fevers can regularly get much higher. As I have had no fevers, the doctor will treat it as a mild infection, one which I should fight off on my own. It is only after a long period (two months) will they even consider investigating further. That is why walking pneumonia is a possibility as it exhibits very mild symptoms (and so, one may go to work and walk around without knowing the cause of their malaise). But it is certainly bronchitis as the cough is deep and unrelenting. I have been keeping the symptoms in check through rest. But, at the two month mark, if the symptoms haven't mostly disappeared, I will insist on a thorough investigation.
