I had done a light workout in my home gym earlier this morning.
I then went into the IR Sauna for almost half an hour...
and then took a hot shower.
Around 1:30 PM...
I suddenly felt like eating a NY pizza at my favorite pizza place...
Cap's Pizza (at Wild Horses Cafe).
Bandi got very excited on our drive over...
as she dashed from open window to open window
as we passed by deers, horses, donkeys, and llamas.
I go...
not only for this excellent pizza...
...but for this wonderful view.
On the way home...
I saw these clouds in the sky...
and I got so excited...
as I knew it meant there would be another fantastic sunset on this evening.
After getting home...
I just relaxed in my room until about 20 minutes before sunset.
Bandi and I then walked to sunset point
(about a five minute walk downhill...a little longer back uphill :)
We arrived at Sunset Point with time to spare...
and I just stood on the edge of the road as I watched the sun go down.
There were so many interesting clouds everywhere.
I had almost forgotten to look behind me.
I was so glad I hadn't.
There was this cloud formation which just seemed to glow.
I turned back around to see that the cloud formations had darkened more.
But...
every so often...
I would turn back around to capture the glowing clouds behind me.
And each time I turned back around...
new clouds would begin to light up as the sun shifted angles as it descended.
The glow of this cloud formation was every bit as luminescent as in this photo...
but the experience was so much more...
as I had a brisk cold wind in my face...
which had greatly invigorated me and had made everything seem so surreal.
As the sunset came to its conclusion...
I began to become more and more aware that the mountain breeze had picked up.
My hands were beginning to numb out...
but that was okay.
What a spectacular sunset.
The chill in the air was part of the charm.
What a way to end a day...
feeling everything is right with the world.
And I may just walk less than five minutes to Sunset Point...at will...
and get some exercise as well
(I arrive back home...huffing and puffing a bit).
----------------------------------
I had finally lain out my exercise program.
I will be doing high volume single repetition heavy weight training...
along with supplementary resistance exercises...
and with aerobic training afterwards.
I will then stretch...
sit in the IR Sauna for half an hour...
and then take a nice hot shower.
Even though I went light this morning...
I feel so much more relaxed now.
My body is calm and serene...
but my mind feels so wonderfully fluid.
It is in this state that music and colors just seem so much more vivid and alive.
I will work on my trike tomorrow.
Until I get it fixed up...
I will do some more walks up the mountain.
Afterward getting my trike back on the road...
I will do that almost every day for my aerobic training.
I feel so much better being able to workout...
how I wish to...
and when I wish to...
no matter the weather
(at least in my home gym).
Life is...so good.
Never settle for mediocrity.
It is always about the quantity of quality in life.
And...
never squander an opportunity to get yourself out
to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
We are expecting a day of snow in a few days.
I look forward to it.
