Bandi's Sunset Walk

Song:  The Gardener Of Eden

As it was nice out...
I decided to take Bandi on a little walk to enjoy the sunset with me...
just a few minute walk down the street and around the first corner.

We arrived at...
what I now dub as...
Sunset Point.

Bandi looked around...
sniffed the air...
and reacted to some new sounds.

The air was crisp and cold...
the mountain breeze gentle...
and the dead quiet was only broken by an occasional calling of a passing bird...
and by the infrequent hooting of a distant owl.

It was so nice here...
and it is just down the street.

It was such a pleasant experience that I will make this my go to spot to watch the sunset...
with my second choice being from the third floor deck...
if I just don't feel like walking  :)

The sun slowly retreated...
gradually changing its effects on the clouds.

Only after the light faded did Bandi and I walk back home.

Bandi and I walked up the upper driveway.

Bandi looked back at me while pulling her leash...
probably wondering why I had stopped.

Although Bandi loved her walk...
she always loves her home the most.

I am going to feed her especially well today.

I sometimes mix in a hearty can of warmed up soup to her kibble...
and that is what I am going to do shortly.

I just love watching her gobble up her food with great gusto.

  1. Aren’t her feet cold? Beautiful spot

  2. No, her breed is made for cold and wet environments. Plus, we were only out there for half an hour. She loves to play in the snow.

  3. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset. I imagine that the position of the sunset will change throughout the year so you may need to adjust your "Sunset Point" but I am sure there are a plethora of great spots to view the sunset.

  4. Yes, but you are also right, there are other spots to view the sunset. I will most probably use the third deck most of the time.
