As my younger sister and I have been driving all around my area looking at properties...
we have been quite busy.
We were considering the views mostly...
and only a few could even be considered...
as my sister wants a sunset view at the least...
preferably both...
a sunset and sunrise...
along with distant views.
The other day...
we had gotten up early...
watched a beautiful sunrise from the 2nd deck of my home...
ate breakfast...
and then traveled from potential property to potential property.
As not many homes on the market fit her criteria...
we also looked at lots of land where she could have a house of her liking...
built on land of her liking.
This lot is just down the mountain from my house...
about a mile and a half.
The whole back of the lot has aspen trees.
There was a rough driveway and flat area for a home to be built
(I am standing on it).
It had nice views to the west.
That would be her neighbor in the house to the right of the photo.
Just before getting back in the car and going back home...
I took this one last shot.
She would have nice distant views...
and a sunset view.
However...
as she is still just looking...
there is plenty of time for her.
I like this music. Finding the right spot will be a knowing in your bones. Now days there are prefab homes that can be put into a prepared space within a day or two. I think the tough part is the utilities. At my age, I prefer a move in situation where the previous owner has already successfully navigated those details. But, building can be quite the adventure if the view is so fantastic that it is all worth it.
ReplyDeleteSince it is in my development...the electricity, water, and gas is readily available. But, I think she can find the right home once summer comes.
ReplyDeleteIt's exciting to look for a new property and think of the possibilities. I don't think most of the properties will sell quickly so your sister can afford to see a lot of places and take her time to make a decision.
ReplyDeleteYes...she is still unsure as to what she will do, but she is looking at other listings available. She had found one which she could be happy with, and she will be viewing it in a few days.
